Our Process

When you sign up for our email updates, you will received news of when we have a litter of Sheepadoodle puppies available.  You can watch and wait for a litter that interests you.  Once you see one you like, then you can apply to that litter.  We plan to have each litter application open for 24 hrs. We will go through the applications and contact those who we feel are a good match for that litter.   We may have more applications than puppies so unfortunately not everyone will be able to get a puppy each time.  However we will have more litters coming. You can see our upcoming litters page for our future plans.  Please be prepared to wait as there is a high demand at this time for our Sheepadoodle puppies.  Email updates are an excellent way to watch and wait without any commitment from either party.

When we have a litter opening available you can apply for a puppy from that litter.  We will post our litter opening through our email updates and website.  The litter opening will only be available for 24 hours before it is closed.  We will give you a special code and link to our puppy application form for that litter only.  We will let you know either way if you have been accepted as a candidate.  If you are, we will offer you a puppy picking spot and if you are happy with that spot (for example 4th pick) then you can confirm and go on to the next step. If that doesn’t work for you, then just wait for another litter.  You will have to apply again for each new litter.  The online application should take about 5 minutes to fill, depending on how much info you wish to provide.

If you are happy with the puppy selection spot offered to you, then you can go ahead and place a deposit for that spot.  Deposits are a nonrefundable $500.  The deposit is valid only for a pup in that litter, no other.  If you decide later not to take a puppy from that litter then you will not get the deposit money back.  The deposit can be sent to us through e-transfer with a code and instructions given.  The deposit goes toward your puppy payment. 

We will send you a Getting Ready for your puppy email after you have put your deposit down.  It will include tips on food, treats, supplies we recommend for your puppy.  We will also send you our free 30 day pet insurance promotion.  You can also take advantage of a discounted online puppy training class with a breeder code promotion for you to get ready for your puppy.  There’s a lot of work involved in raising a pup and it doesn’t hurt to be ready ahead of time!

We will post individual photos of the pups around 4 weeks of age.  You will see these photos on our website and social media.   The day before puppy selection we post individual puppy videos on Instagram and Facebook.  We will send you an up to date photo of your puppy on puppy section day for you to share with family and friends.

Puppy picking is done virtually.  We will send each person a zoom link or use an alternative video call if preferred.  Puppy picking is done in order of puppy spots confirmed starting with pick #1. Puppy selection date is set ahead of time for a Saturday when the pup is around 6 weeks old.   Puppy picking times usually run between 10:30 am to 3 pm with each person having a 20 minute time slot.  It helps to have your top picks ready ahead of time! 

Once you have picked out your puppy we will send you an email with an invoice for the puppy you selected.  Full payment is required 2 days before the puppy turns 8 wks old.  This can be made by e-transfer.  If you do wish to pay cash or certified cheque arrangements can be made for that to be given on puppy pick up day. 

We try to have all our paperwork done ahead of time.  Please remember to sign and email back our puppy health guarantee before coming for your puppy.  That way we can have it printed off and nicely added in to your puppy folder.

As of 2020 we are implementing a curb side pick up for your puppy.  We ask that you text us when you are on your way and also again when you are about 15 minutes away.  We will have your puppy ready for you to pick up outside.  You will finally meet your puppy for the first time!!  We will take a photo of you and your family and text it to you for keeping that special day in your memory.   We will aim to let your puppy have a potty break just prior to you coming so that it is ready for the ride home. Remember to refer to your Getting Ready for your puppy letter to make sure you have all the things you need for puppy pick up.
